Due to COVID-19/novel coronavirus outbreak, our office has altered how we continue to provide our individualized, experienced, and professional support to small businesses and entrepreneurs. See below for how we are continuing to conduct workshops and counseling remotely.
DNA of an Entrepreneur workshops have now transitioned to REMOTE format. The SBRC is committed to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs in whatever capacity possible. The Partnership Loan Program for Minority- and Women-Owned Small Businesses in New Haven and Lower Naugatuck Valley
HEDCO, Inc., The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the City of New Haven, and The Amour Propre Fund are collaborating to provide financial relief and recovery resources to minority-owned and women-owned small businesses. Under the Program, a qualifying small business with 20 or fewer employees may apply for a 4% term loan for up to $25,000. Loans are partly forgivable to New Haven based businesses in good standing after 12 months.

In-Person Advising
All in person advising is currently suspended. We ask everyone to please use this SBRC Online Assessment Form as we will not be taking any in-person appointments at this time. Someone from the SBRC team will respond via phone and/or email. Thank you for your understanding.
Our staff is here to work with you on an individual basis. Using our extensive experience, we can provide you with advice, counseling, and technical assistance on everything from how to start or register a business, write a business plan, secure licensing or permitting, pursue local, state, and federal business incentives, find an appropriate business site, and evaluate various financing options.
