Over the past few years, the City of New Haven has had one of the tightest rental markets in the United States supplemented by a thriving residential development pipeline. The EDA works heavily to continue attracting and supporting residential development to the city.
Private-Sector Residential Development
OBD worked with roughly a dozen privately funded project developers in 2019 alone to facilitate their plans to make significant investments in major residential or mixed-use projects in New Haven, by guiding them through land-use regulatory and community outreach processes:
