The memorial bench program provides an opportunity to honor, remember and pay tribute to loved ones. A donation of $3,000 covers the manufacture, shipment, and installation of a standard park bench, shown below.

New Haven’s standard park bench is manufactured with cast ductile iron supports on either side and recycled plastic faux-wood slats for maximum durability. The optional plaque is 4”x6” with 4 lines of text, 16 characters per line. It is not possible to add any icons, images, or color to the plaque. In the interest of maintainability, we regret that we cannot consider requests for non-standard benches at this time.

If you are interested in donating a memorial bench, please email Katherine Jacobs;  kjacobs@newhavenct.gov, please describe the location where you would like the bench to be installed. If you would like to include a memorial plaque, please include your chosen plaque text in your email as well.
