2022 Personal Property Declarations

This year the Department of Assessment is offering existing business personal property accounts the option of submitting their 2022 Personal Property Declaration online through the following link:

https://www.mytaxbill.org/

A onetime access code is required to file the personal property declaration online. This code is contained in the letter that was mailed out. If you do not have the code, you cannot file the personal property declaration online. Due to the confidential nature of personal property declarations, the Department of Assessment cannot provide the access code if you did not receive or lost the letter. If this is the case, you will be required to file a physical declaration.

Once you register online, you will log in using just your email and password; the system will automatically remember your account number. After you first log in you will be asked to verify the existing account information and will then be able to update your record for the 2022 filing period. When you sign and submit the declaration electronically you will get a confirmation email that the declaration has been received. You will also be able to download and print the forms as submitted. Whether you file your personal property declaration online or by mail, the forms must be posted no later than Tuesday, November 1, 2022 to avoid a 25% penalty assessment being applied to your account, pursuant to CGS 12-41(e).
