Connecticut state law requires all pet owners to license their dogs.

• All dogs over six months must be licensed.
• Licensing provides vaccination and sterilization benefits for pets.
• All dogs must be licensed by June 30th of each year.*A one dollar fee will be charged for each month late.
• All dogs must have a current rabies vaccination

• Spayed or Neutered: $8.00
• Not Spayed or Neutered: $19.00

Obtain a dog license online here: City of New Haven Dog License Application or bring proof that your dog has been vaccinated for rabies, is spayed or neutered, and the dog license fee to the following location:
