MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR: PROPOSED CITY BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 & UPCOMING BUDGET TOWN HALLS

Post Date:03/10/2023 9:33 AM

Dear Neighbors,

Last week I submitted my proposed City budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 to the New Haven Board of Alders for review and consideration.

There is A LOT in the proposed budget, and I wanted to take the time to share with you a general overview, some key highlights, and how you can learn more and engage in the budget process between now and June 5th, which is the date by which the city’s budget must be finalized and adopted.

To this end, I will be holding a series of budget town halls for residents to learn more about the budget, ask questions, and provide input and feedback on the proposals. I hope you’ll be able to join one of these discussions, and the info about these town halls are as follows:

  • 3/21 at 6 p.m. at the Benjamin Jepson School (15 Lexington Ave),
  • 3/28 at 6 p.m. at the L.W. Beecher School (100 Jewell Street),
  • 4/4 at 6 p.m. at the Conte-West Hills School (511 Chapel Street).
