The New Haven Food Policy Council is composed of eleven members: Ten regular members and one member from the Board of Alders. Regular members are appointed by the Mayor and must be approved by the Board of Alders. Term of council membership is three years.
The council shall work to address local and regional food issues and its impact on individuals, communities, businesses, the environment and local government.
