The Cultural Affairs Commission is comprised of seventeen members: the Mayor, member from the Board of Alders, and fifteen mayoral appointees that must be approved by the Board of Alders.
The commission encourages, sponsors or conducts programs to advance awareness of, interest in, and development of the fine arts, performing arts and cultural activities.
Appointed by the Mayor with approval by the Board of Alderman per Section #11, Article V of the Revised City Charter 11/2013.
