The purpose of NHV Health Programs is to help ALL City residents access relevant, timely and accurate information and resources. We cover topics that are important to New Haven residents, their neighbors, families and communities.

Child Passenger Safety

Anyone vaccinated in Connecticut can access and maintain immunization records, including a digital COVID-19 vaccine record with CT WiZ.

The New Haven Health Department aims to break stigmas and stereotypes that may stop New Haven residents from seeking help for substance use disorders. We have local resources mapped out for community members, including free overdose prevention training.

The Health Department has its own Health and Wellness Center with clinical services available to the community. We also maintain school nursing for children who attend New Haven Public Schools. Learn more about what services each of these provide.
